Slice of Life: Take 1

I's wall above her dresser/changing station / little elephant legs / baskets of books / another corner of her room...slowly coming together / cotton and wood toys for our sweet girl

These days my moments are filled with all things baby and I love just about every moment of it. My eyes are tired, my back can get sore, and with four pets and a baby our house can get to looking quite scary, but there is no stage of life I would rather be in. I am used to being under-slept, I have plans in place to strengthen my back, and if I don't get around to vacuuming the floor today it can always happen tomorrow.

  1. Her room looks so pretty, and those little elephant leg warmers are insanely cute! Vacuuming? What's that? ;)

  2. Izzy's room turned out great! You did a wonderful decorating job! I feel ya about the house looking scary at times, but there's a light at the end of the tunnel and it will eventually lead to a clean house again some day. Plus right now - vacuuming dog fur isn't important until Izzy's crawling ha! ;)

  4. Thanks Shirley. Still a bit more to do, but I love how it's coming along. Yes, I am holding on to that light at the end of the tunnel. Once Izzy is crawling I'm going to be sweeping and vacuuming way more than I would like to think about, these dogs make a mess quick, but that's okay, my hands will be a bit more free to do so, for now I'm just enjoying keeping those arms full of baby and cleaning when I get the chance. :)

  5. Thanks all around! :) These are her only tiny sized leg warmers so they get a lot of wear, good thing I really like them! :)

I absolutely love the colors in I's nursery! You nailed it! Also, I nominated you for a Leibster Award!

  7. Thank you! We really wanted something that was kind of gender-neutral and that she could grow into. And thanks for the award, I posted my answers today. :)

  8. Did you ever have problems with your back before? I did and am trying to strengthen mine too... it's a hard road but one that will be worth it down the road. I love her room!!

  9. I didn't really have back problems before, except a little lower back pain in pregnancy. I think now it's just from sleeping in strange positions and toting her around all day. I definitely need to do something though because I'd rather strengthen it now rather than risk pulling something or whatever it is you can do to hurt backs. ;)
