4/52

Isadora: Today was an unseasonably warm day, seventy degrees in January, and we soaked up every last sunshine-filled minute of it.

It is strange that I was able to take an afternoon walk with sandals on my feet and a hat-less baby slung across my chest, but the kisses from the sun sure did give my soul a much needed boost. These random days of warmth, of open windows and porch sitting, they give me hope of more adventurous days ahead with little Isadora. Our Spring will be filled with trips to the park and hikes on wooded trails, long walks with friends and patio hangouts too. These are the days I live for and if it weren't for a love of other people that occupy this same town, we would be migrating in a direction that provided this kind of warmth year round. Whether you were barefooted as well or trekking through deep snow with your warmest boots on, I hope you had a lovely day too.

  1. Great shot!! How nice to have sandals on, we had a snow day today! I am looking forward to spring too and all that means - sunshine, gardening, being outside even more than we are now...can't wait. Hope you are well.
