Dear Izzy: Week 15

Dear Izzy,

These past couple of weeks we were able to enjoy extra days with your Dad thanks to the holiday season. It is so fun watching you two together. We each have our own unique relationship with you and each have different things to offer to you and to teach you as you grow. I can't wait to see you by your Dad's side while you tinker around in the garage and garden. You should also know, he is probably the one who will teach you how to drive when that time comes many years down the road, although I will be in the backseat making sure you are stopping at those stop signs, wearing your seat belt, and always using your blinker. We make a good team, your Dad and myself and I hope that serves you well through the years.

This week you are up to your same old tricks, but also getting more awesome by the day. These days you are trying so hard to sit up all on your own. While you are sitting on our laps you grunt and groan and struggle to pull yourself forward, many times in an attempt to grab your own feet. You also push against our laps to push yourself up onto those very feet. Oh, little lady, you are so strong, but let's work on the rolling over before the standing, okay? Also, those smiles and screeches? Keep them coming in ample supply, I can't get enough of them.

Love,

Mama
