Rough week around here with us all being stuffy-nosed and your teeth giving you more trouble but boy oh boy are you as cute as can be. Your Aunt Karissa and her family are all moved back home and since we all seemed to have caught the same sickies somehow we have been spending quite a bit of time together this week without having to fear passing it around. This has meant a lot of cousin time. With us having lived apart for your first year we are definitely making up for lost time and I hope one day you will begin to enjoy it as much as I do. You do enjoy seeing everyone (always saving your biggest and least worked for smiles at Uncle James) and playing with their toys and books, but can get a bit overwhelmed by the action or your cousin Eloise's intense love for you. I promise she means well even if it doesn't always end well.
I can't believe we are this far along into your first year of life already. It seems too cliche to say it seems like you were just born yesterday and it wouldn't be true to say that either. This year has been full of so many changes, so much love, and our fair share of ups and downs, but getting to mother you through it has been such an honor. So no, it doesn't seem like just yesterday, but it most certainly has gone by a bit too fast for my liking. The good thing is I think year 2 is going to be even better than the first as you continue to be more mobile and interested in exploring together. Lucky for you and me, your dad has taken off for most of the week of your birthday so we are going to top of this last week of year one with lots of fun together. Let's just get those teeth through this weekend and our noses dried up too so we can really take advantage of those days.
Love you lots my sweet sensitive Izzy Fawn.
